Pine is a living material. It moves with temperature and humidity, and it shows the marks of daily life. Luckily, maintenance is simple — you do not need to be a joiner.
Cleaning — most of all
A dust cloth each week and a lightly damp cloth each month is enough for most needs. Avoid acidic cleaners; plain water or a mild soap is fine. Wipe along the grain, not across it.

When something goes wrong
A click in the runner?
A small click when you pull the sliding door is usually dust that has gathered in the runner. Sit down by it, open the frame fully and vacuum the dust out. If that does not help — get in touch with your nearest stockist.
Cracks in the pine?
Very small surface cracks are normal in pine and do not affect function. Larger cracks should be checked — especially if the frame sits in a place with big swings in humidity.
