From forest to sitting-room door — traceability in the FSC chain

FSC certification is more than a logo. Every plank in our frames can be traced back to the forest it grew in — and that is a small revolution for the building trade.

A few decades ago, the origin of the timber was known only vaguely. Today we can tell you which forest, which contractor, and often what time of year a given batch was felled.

The forest is the first link

We buy most of our timber from Norwegian and Swedish forest owners who are FSC-certified. That means the forest is managed to strict sustainability principles — at least as much is planted as is felled.

The finished Vossakarmen — every board here has an FSC trail leading back to a specific forest.

Every board has a code

When the planks reach the factory, they are marked and logged. All the way from the saw to the finished frame we have traceability at every step. That is more paperwork, yes — but it is the only way to claim, with credibility, that your frame is FSC-certified.

For you, the buyer, it is simpler: you can trust that the frame in your home or workplace is part of a responsible cycle. For us it is a lot more work — but that is how genuine sustainability works.
